Scansatec Oy is a solution and service provider for telecommunications and media broadcasting. The company's solutions include data networks, hybrid fiber coax (HFC) networks, video processing (e.g. encoding, packaging, CDN), customer premises equipment (CPE), and management systems. Scansatec is a family-owned company with almost 30 years of know-how, and its customers include Internet service providers, telecommunications and cable companies, and broadcasters from all over Northern Europe and the Baltic countries.e
Description of the role
As a Solution Consultant, you are responsible for a broad entity; You take care of the customer relationships, from lead collection to delivery, customer service, technical support, and after sales. The Solution Consultant provides personal and solution-focused service to new and existing customers. You have a genuine desire to understand the customer and support them in their technical needs. The role’s technical tasks include setting up testing environments (servers, OS, application installation, device configuration), system designs, and project management.
As a Solution Consultant, you will be based at the Scansatec’s modern premises in the center of Turku, near by the Aurajoki river. The role requires 50-100 days of travel a year in the Scandinavian and Baltic region (excluding exceptional times such as the Covid19).

What we expect from the applicants
We expect a suitable technical education (MSc, BSc) as well as a few years of experience in similar positions. The applicant must have knowledge of media streaming protocols and video processing. Working in the customer interface requires good negotiation and communication skills. The position is suitable for an applicant who is eager to learn new technologies and is interested in the field of telecommunications and media broadcasting.
